From Asthma to Adventure: Gorden Waldmann’s Mokwheel Journey as a Geocacher
I’m a passionate geocacher, but in the spring I couldn’t enjoy my beloved hobby anymore—my asthma was holding me back. During that time, I mostly stayed indoors. I felt trapped.
Later, I bought a Mokwheel Basalt. The bike has plenty of power and helps me ride effortlessly uphill and downhill with stability. Back then, I thought: maybe it’s time for a fresh start. At first, I only rode slowly along the edge of the village for a few minutes, then a little longer. When the weather was nice, I rode a few laps around the village, just to see how long I could keep going. Gradually, the distances grew longer, until I eventually made it back into the forest.
A few weeks ago, I rode past the wind farm nearby. The sun was shining, the wheels were turning slowly—it all looked somehow special. So I took a few photos. And suddenly, I thought of the Mokwheel inverter, which basically works like the wind turbines: harnessing energy from nature. Simple, practical, and sustainable—perfect for the outdoors.
This bike not only got me back outside but also restored my rhythm. Now I can go out again and search for the caches I had marked before but never found. In the village, people already recognize (and point out) my very eye-catching bike. They always say, “Off on a treasure hunt?” And yes, in a way, it really is. For me, cycling is not just exercise—it feels like a piece of life I’ve reclaimed.
